MOTHERHOOD
I complete this article on #BlackTuesday 2nd June 2020. My mind is so troubled and heart is so heavy with sadness of the death of George Flloyd and the handling of this case by the American Police and the American Government. Racism is rife in the 21st century and not just in America. A lot of the times it is hidden and subtle, making it difficult to prove it has happened. At a time like this we as human beings, no matter what colour, need to step up, question and make efforts to stop this horrible, sad and shocking crime. A crime that has gone on for far too long. If anger and sadness is not expressed, we will not be any further forward to supressing racism. There is never a reason to be racist. Racism has been discussed openly in our household. Acceptance of one another is a crucial quality we can instill in our children.
OPINIONS MATTER
It’s been awhile since I published my last blog, I have drafted it in my head several times but in keeping with the constant change in advice we are getting about keeping safe, my thoughts were conflicting each other in my head too. I felt drained mentally and found it difficult to think clearly. IContinue reading “OPINIONS MATTER”

A LETTER TO MY CHILDREN
This blog is for all children whose lives are on pause as they experience this pandemic. They have moved from a generation who were seen as privileged to a generation whose childhood is now comparable to ‘war times’. A generation that will prove themselves to be resilient. A generation to be proud of.
LEARNING A SKILL
It’s our first day back to home schooling and my husband has also returned to work after a well deserved Easter Break. An anxious time to be returning to work as a doctor. A WALK FOR FRESH AIR
After almost 3 weeks of being indoors, M, my youngest daughter and I decided to take a walk just outside our house. My oldest daughter K, is shielding from Covid 19 and is not even allowed out of the front door. K was upset to see M and I leave. I felt bad about itContinue reading “A WALK FOR FRESH AIR”
SPIRITUALITY AND POSITIVITY
The meaning of spirituality has evolved over time. I am not an expert on philosophy nor religion but have personal beliefs and experiences. My interpretation of Sprituality is, it can be based on religious beliefs, traditions, one’s personal growth or beliefs, or using Yoga/meditation to connect to one’s inner voice. They all involve a periodContinue reading “SPIRITUALITY AND POSITIVITY”
THEATRE
I am posting a shorter post today as I am a bit preoccupied . I guess we all have days like this and I only think it normal. I believe it’s healthy to acknowledge how we feel. It may not work for everyone but for me a good cry gets the worry out and ifContinue reading “THEATRE”
